Sarah Long, Executive Director
Sarah Long (they/them) has served as Executive Director of Arise since June 2023. Their involvement with the organization began as a volunteer advocate, a role they held for approximately six years. Sarah went on to serve as a forensic interviewer and later as a contract advocate before transitioning into the full-time Advocate Coordinator position. During Arise’s transition to independent nonprofit status, Sarah briefly left to pursue a community outreach contract with United Way of Eastern New Mexico. They later returned as a contractor to assist with advocacy efforts under the newly formed Arise SAS 501(c)(3). Sarah was selected as Executive Director following a competitive interview process led by the Interim Executive Director and representatives from the New Mexico Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs and other statewide partners.
Sarah obtained their Associates of Arts in General Studies in 2015 and their Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2017 from Eastern New Mexico University. They then continued their education to complete a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology, specializing in sex offender behavior, from Walden University in 2018. Sarah is married with two cats and two dogs, tolerates crochet, enjoys building LEGOs, and loves spending time with their niece and nephews.
Megan Manasco, SANE Director
I am the SANE Director at Arise SAS. The SANE Director position is similar to a nurse manager position. I am a forensic nurse and provide sexual Assault examinations to all ages, child abuse exams, domestic violence exams, elder abuse exams, and strangulation exams for patients in 6 counties in Eastern NM. As a forensic nurse, I am also able to provide expert witness testimony during court proceedings.
I started at Arise in July of 2013 as a volunteer advocate while finishing nursing school. When I completed nursing school in 2014, I began the process to become a sexual Assault nurse examiner. I am both SANE-A and SANE-P certified. I have had the opportunity to work with the International Association of Forensic Nurses on three different occasions for projects regarding both sexual Assault and intimate partner violence.
I really love my job and having the opportunity to help the patients we see.
Dr. Krystallynne Mikle, Clinical Director
Krystallynne Mikle, PhD, LCSW-S is a licensed clinical social worker and supervisor with over a decade of experience supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and complex trauma. She began her social work career in 2006 after graduating from Baylor University, earned her Master’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University, and completed her Doctorate in Social Work at the University of Texas. Her clinical focus is rooted in Marriage and Family Therapy and culturally responsive, trauma-informed care.
Dr. Mikle is deeply committed to walking alongside survivors on their healing journeys. She practices from a strengths-based, survivor-centered perspective, emphasizing safety, empowerment, and respect while helping individuals and families rebuild resilience, confidence, and a sense of control in their lives. Along with addressing trauma, she helps individuals and families understand and navigate the ways domestic violence and trauma can disrupt family systems, including changes related to separation, divorce, single parenting, and shifting family roles.
Her therapeutic work incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, empowerment theory, and interventions centered on intentional homework and guided exploration to support insight, skill-building, and meaningful change. Dr. Mikle has worked across hospitals, schools, outpatient clinics, and state agencies and has also served as a social work professor and clinical supervisor.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Mikle enjoys spending time with her daughter, exploring Houston, attending concerts and festivals, and caring for her growing collection of plants.
Jessy Kidd, Case Manager SANE
Jessy is a SANE nurse and case manager at Arise Sexual Assault Services, where she has worked for seven years. She provides trauma-informed medical care and support to survivors in the community, with a focus on compassionate, survivor-centered care. Outside of work, you can find Jessy at the pool where she coaches swim.
Hope Moyers, SANE
I became a registered nurse in July 2008. I started with Arise in 2020 as a volunteer advocate and became a SANE in 2021. I have always been interested in forensic nursing. I am passionate about providing excellent care for all patients, and Arise provides me with this opportunity.
Rebecca Lakin, Office Manager/Advocate
Rebecca serves as the Office Manager and Advocate at ARISE, providing administrative operations while fulfilling a critical role in victim advocacy. As the primary point of contact for survivors during regular business hours, she ensures timely communication, coordinated support, and access to essential services. Rebecca’s work is grounded in a commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and survivor-centered advocacy, contributing to a supportive and responsive organizational environment.
Jayce Victor, Outreach and Prevention Advocate
Jayce was born and raised in Portales, New Mexico. She graduated with her Bachelor’s of Psychology in 2023 and will have her Master’s of Counseling in May 2026. Jayce provides evidence-based prevention education in the community, as well as performing community outreach to foster connection with Arise’s six service counties.
Jayce is a self-described nerd and science enthusiast. Outside of work, you can catch her with her four cats and many, many, many plants.
Corina Gonzalez, Bilingual On-Call Advocate
Corina Gonzalez began her work with Arise in 2024 as a bilingual On-Call Advocate, where she provides compassionate, trauma-informed support to survivors in moments of crisis. In her role, she offers emotional support, connects individuals to vital community resources, and ensures that every survivor is met with the understanding, dignity, and respect they deserve.
As a fluent Spanish speaker, Corina is deeply committed to serving minorities in rural communities, helping bridge language barriers and advocating for equitable access to resources and services. Her work reflects her passion for empowerment, cultural responsiveness, and social justice.
In the summer of 2025, Corina earned two Associate degrees from Clovis Community College in Behavioral Science and General Studies. She plans to continue her educational journey by pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Eastern New Mexico University in the coming years, further strengthening her ability to serve and uplift her community.

Tiffany Little, LMSW
Tiffany Little, LMSW is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the State of New Mexico with three years of experience providing supportive, client-centered therapy to individuals navigating emotional distress and life challenges. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Eastern New Mexico University in 2019 and completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at Western New Mexico University in 2022.
Tiffany has experience working with individuals facing concerns such as depression, anxiety, anger, and the emotional impact of difficult life events, including experiences of interpersonal harm. She approaches therapy with a strong emphasis on building trust and creating a safe, respectful space where clients feel heard and supported. Her work focuses on helping individuals develop practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and strengthen emotional regulation.
Her therapeutic style is collaborative and strengths-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, person-centered approaches, and strengths-based interventions. Tiffany tailors her work to each client’s needs, helping them identify existing strengths while building new tools to navigate stressors and ongoing challenges.
Tiffany is committed to fostering a nonjudgmental, supportive therapeutic environment and values walking alongside clients as they work toward growth, stability, and meaningful change.
Katie Hall, LCSW
Katie Hall, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly a decade of experience providing trauma-informed care to individuals and families impacted by complex trauma. She has extensive experience working with survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and other adverse and traumatic experiences.
Katie earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Eastern New Mexico University in 2017 and her Master of Social Work from Western New Mexico University in 2018. Since graduating, she has worked across a variety of settings, including community mental health, school-based services, and outpatient and private practice, allowing her to support clients across the lifespan and in diverse clinical contexts.
Katie specializes in trauma-focused treatment and is trained in evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). She is also a Certified Trauma Professional. Her clinical strengths include crisis assessment and intervention, supporting clients through complex interpersonal and relational challenges, and helping families and secondary survivors navigate the impact of trauma within the family system.
Katie practices from a client-centered, strengths-based perspective and believes that therapy should be individualized, collaborative, and responsive to each client’s unique needs. She is deeply committed to creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment and believes that every survivor possesses resilience and the capacity for healing, growth, and empowered decision-making when provided with the right support. Katie provides services to individuals and families across the lifespan, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
Juiliann Villanueva de Chavez, LMFT
Juliann Villanueva de Chavez (Julie), LMFT is a licensed clinical counselor and has provided behavioral health services in New Mexico spanning three decades. She began her career in 1997 working with adjudicated youths as well as with Treatment Foster Care children. In 2005, she earned a Master in Counseling, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Phoenix-Albuquerque, NM and has been providing therapeutic services for the past 20 years.
Julie is an experienced and motivated professional focused on providing compassionate and effective therapeutic support specializing in play therapy and trauma-informed care. She has received specific training in Sandtray Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and sexual and interpersonal trauma. Julie is committed to positive client outcomes through empathetic listening, evidence-based techniques, and tailored intervention plans and she fosters a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore and resolve personal challenges.
On her personal side of life, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and biological 12-year-old puppy. She recently dived into the sourdough phase and is enjoying making loaves of bread, crackers and cookies for family and friends. She and her husband have caught the travel-bug and enjoy cruise ships and RVing.
Tyler Bock, LMSW
Tyler Bock is a licensed master social worker with over six years of experience supporting individuals and families through significant life changes, crisis, and emotionally complex transitions. His professional background includes extensive work within child welfare, healthcare, and behavioral health systems, where he supported children, caregivers, and families navigating safety concerns, family disruption, grief, and systemic stress.
Tyler brings a strong understanding of how trauma, loss, and sudden change impact family systems, roles, and relationships. He is especially skilled in helping individuals process transitions such as separation, changes in caregiving roles, medical crises, and shifts in family structure—experiences that often accompany or follow interpersonal trauma. His work emphasizes stabilization, emotional safety, and helping clients make sense of change at their own pace.
Currently, Tyler serves as a hospice social worker, providing psychosocial assessments, emotional support, anticipatory grief counseling, and care coordination for patients and families facing serious illness and end-of-life concerns. This role has deepened his ability to sit with intense emotions, uncertainty, and loss while offering steady, compassionate support.
Tyler practices from a trauma-informed, person-centered framework and values collaboration, honesty, and respect in the therapeutic relationship. He is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered as they navigate change and healing.
Mikaela Ivy-Kian "Mika" Addams, LMHC
Mikaela Ivy-Kian “Mika” Addams, LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing trauma-informed services through ARISE Specialized Assessment Services. She works with individuals navigating trauma, emotional regulation challenges, identity exploration, and major life transitions.
Mika’s approach is client-centered and evidence-based, integrating CBT, DBT-informed skills, and somatic awareness to support practical, sustainable change. She is especially experienced in working with LGBTQIA+ clients and individuals who have felt unseen or misunderstood within systems of care.
She is committed to ethical practice, collaboration, and creating a safe, affirming therapeutic space grounded in respect and autonomy.
Rae Sapiga, PREA Advocate
Rae Sapiga was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She came to Portales, New Mexico in 2018 and graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 2022 with her bachelor’s degree in social work, and then again in 2024 with her master’s degree in health and physical education with an emphasis in sports administration. Rae has been with Arise since 2023 as our PREA Advocate, where she serves a specialized population of incarcerated survivors. In addition to providing advocacy services to incarcerated survivors, Rae also hosts empowerment groups for all inmates in Curry, De Baca, and Quay counties. Her empowerment groups help inmates learn vital life skills and essential coping techniques. Rae enjoys working with incarcerated individuals, and her goal is to make sure every inmate knows they have the power to make a change in their lives and know that there is always someone out there who cares about them.
Deanna Garcia, Prevention Specialist
Deanna is a Violence Prevention Specialist with Arise Sexual Assault Services and a social work student at ENMU who is committed to building safer, more connected rural communities through prevention, education, and everyday conversation. Originally from Clovis, she believes silence causes harm and that most people want to help but often do not know how. She focuses on growing local conversations and helping people feel more confident talking about the realities of sexual assault and violence in ways that are informed, practical, and grounded in facts. Deanna is especially drawn to prevention work and believes change begins with simple, consistent actions and people looking out for one another. She enjoys being involved in the community, reading a good book, and spending time with her family and those she loves most.
